Alrighty folks. So I realized of all the wisdom bestowed I’ve left out one KEY ingredient to building wealth. And that ingredient is having a PLAN. When I say plan I mean literally taking the time to write out what YOU are going to do every day/week/month/year to ensure you achieve your financial goals. And of course this also helps you get solid on what those goals actually are.

This harkens back to my habits issue. However you can’t know what your habits need to be if you haven’t done the planning and know what you want to achieve. So ya… I’m kinda an idiot for not doing the planning issue BEFORE the habits… lol. However today I rectify that mistake!

As such I will personally do a zoom call with the first 5 people who email me back on this newsletter. I will spend 15 minutes minimum with each person helping them create a plan to build their wealth. All I’ll ask in return is for some solid feedback on the newsletter at the end of our call. Just reply to this newsletter ‘Lets make a plan!’ and we’ll get something on the calendar.

So I’ve told you to plan without telling you how… which is kinda lame. So here’s a simple outline to get you started:

  1. Set Your Goals

  • Decide What to Buy: Think about what you want to save for, is it stocks, a rental property, some crypto, something else?

  • Decide Where You Want to Be: Set goals at 1 year, 3 years, 5 years.

(I personally like to keep my goals 5 years or less, anything longer is just too abstract for me. Who knows if we’ll be living in a post scarcity world or not in 10 years for crying out loud!)

  1. Check Your Money Situation

  • Know Your Income: Figure out how much you earn each month.

  • Track Your Expenses: List your monthly spending to see where your money goes.

  • See Your Savings: Check how much money you have saved up.

  1. Choose Your Risk Level

  • Low Risk: Your kinda wimpy lets be honest, AND THATS OK!!

  • Medium Risk: If you're okay with some ups and downs

  • High Risk: I’m dead inside. Let’s goooo!!!

  1. Decide How Much to Save or Invest

  • Monthly Savings: Decide on an amount you can comfortably set aside each month for investments. And by comfortable, its OK if it hurts just a little :)

  1. Build an Emergency Fund

  • Save for Safety: Put aside 3-6 months’ worth of expenses in case of emergencies. Trust me, you need to do this.

  1. Start Investing

  • Choose Assets: Use your savings to buy things like stocks, bonds, or property.

  • Start Small: Begin with small investments and increase as you get more comfortable.

  1. Review and Adjust

  • Check Regularly: I recommend reviewing your plan DAILY to see if you’re on track.

  • Adjust as Needed: Change your goals or investment amounts based on your progress and any changes in your situation.

There you have it! Now get planning!
