BACK IN ACTION!!! - June 2026 (#62)

Greetings netizens!!! Your dude Brent is back at it again! You may be wondering… what happened to your dude Brent? He fall of a cliff? Here’s the answer.. I’ve been BUSY. I knew I needed absolute focus, and THAT is best done by going ALL IN. Let me explain…

Money

So what have I been up to? Let’s just say a lot happened at once… let me give you some highlights:

  • Busy season hit with the RV Park

  • Current managers took off (no two week notice) before the biggest camping weekend of the year!

  • I had to drop everything, run down and run the park myself (16 hour days until I got new people on!!!)

  • Hire and train an all new team from scratch

  • Got FANTASTIC new managers in

  • As soon as we were almost back to normal the new manager got sick, went to hospital, and was out for 6 weeks!

  • Had two more employees quit

  • Again had to drop everything, run down, and help run the park

  • Manager got better, got AMAZING new team in place

  • Frantically finished up all improvements and projects before season started

As a result I put everything else to the wayside that could. I went ALL IN. I made the crap-tastic decision to put this puppy on hold until I could give it the love and attention it needs. Let’s face it, if it were a puppy… it’d be pretty dead. But enough about dead puppies, let me tell you what’s come of our labors at the park:

  • Reviews WAY UP, Google reviews up to 4.5 and KOA score now elite!

  • Killer new sites, including concrete patios

  • All cabins redone!

  • Loads of other things you don’t care to read, but make a BIG difference

  • Reservation for May and June up approximately 100%, July and August nearly 200%!!!

To get such results I had to go all in. I lived and breathed this RV Park for the last several months. I reduced distractions and responsibilities as much as possible, while at the same time focusing on the essential. This meant being down at the park virtually every week. This meant missing numerous nights with the boys. This meant foregoing vacations and travel. This meant losing more than a little sleep more nights than I can count. It super sucked at times, but I wouldn’t trade it for the results I see now.

So my question to you is this. What do you need to go ALL IN on to move the needle?

TLDR; RV park went through a chaotic but successful turnaround: the managers and employees changed repeatedly, so I had to step in, rebuild the team, and push through major improvements. As a result, reviews, site quality, and reservations are all way up, showing that going all in moves the needle.

PS want to go camping dear reader? We’ve got tent and rv sites. Think camping sucks? We’ve got cabins lol. Click THIS link and you can get 10% off your reservation. Thanks so much for sticking with me 🙂.
