Predictions Following the Failed Assassination - July 2024 (#28)

Hey dear reader. Hope you are safe and well in these crazy times. Amidst all the tumult, I wanted to put out an earlier issue this week to get some thoughts out. As such today’s issue will be brief. Your dude Brent is grateful former president Trump survived the assassination attempt and appears OK. My prayers are with the families of Corey Comperatore and all those injured, both physically and mentally, at the rally at Bethel this weekend. That said, lets get back to the good stuff, namely memes and making money!

Wow, what a weekend… IMO this assassination attempt is a turning point for the United States and has made the future much, much clearer. Following that line of thought I’m going to do something rather dangerous… I’m going to make a set of predictions… followed by my confidence percentile that I’m right. Might have egg all over my face here in a few months, but here it goes!

Also, one more thing before I get accused of being pro either side. I am a registered independent and anyone who knows me well can tell you I’m not a fan of either party or major candidate. So chillax and check it out:

• Calls for Biden to step aside will diminish and he’ll be the Democratic candidate, confidence: 75% (unless 25th Amendment comes into play, very unlikely)

• Equities and Cryptoassets generally rally into the end of the year as Trump is perceived as good for stocks and has become pro Bitcoin, confidence: 70%

• At least one rate cut by end of year, confidence: 80%

• Republicans win big in November and gain both the presidency and the senate, confidence: 90%

Markets HATE uncertainty… and I think, morbidly, that because these unfortunate events have created more clarity that we’ll see most asset prices rise, aside from bonds and gold, which will likely tank. The big question mark is will things cool off from here, or will we see more political violence in America? I hope the former…
