TLDR; Boomers retiring means a MASSIVE change to our economy. All that wealth has to go somewhere!

So what is the ‘Silver Tsunami?’ The term ‘Silver Tsunami’ refers to the fact that the Baby Boomers (born 1946-1964) are RETIRING. This retirement wave will peak around 2030. Why is that a big deal? Because it will have an ENORMOUS impact on our economy. Here’s 5 for you:

1. Labor Market Vacancies

As Boomers exit, industries face notable labor shortages, particularly in sectors like healthcare and manufacturing, where their expertise is not easily replaced, prompting a scramble for talent. How does this affect you? If you’re skilled you might be about to make A LOT more money at your day job.

2. Strain on Social Programs

The mass exodus is placing a heavier burden on Social Security and Medicare, with fewer active workers supporting a growing retired populace, amping up fiscal pressures on these programs. How does this affect you? Two things can happen here, maybe both… either you pay more into these programs than before to cover the hole… or the government prints more money to pay for it. Exploding the deficit and driving up inflation.

3. Boom in Senior Services

Retirement housing, assisted living, and senior care industries are thriving as demand surges. Entire sectors are shifting focus to meet the lifestyle and health needs of aging Boomers. How does this affect you? Lots of ways, but how I am playing this is getting money invested in places set to benefit from all these boomers! Actually working on an investment right now! Details to come!

4. Housing Market Reshuffle

As Boomers downsize or migrate to retiree-friendly locales, real estate markets shift, offering opportunities for younger buyers and influencing regional housing trends. How does this affect you? Well… if boomers actually leave their houses in big enough numbers it might bring prices down to earth and get easier to buy a home! Fingers crossed this one happens!

5. Generational Wealth Cascade

The impending transfer of trillions in assets from Boomers to younger generations WILL reshape investment strategies, consumer spending, and financial markets. How does this affect you? LOTS of great assets such as real estate, small businesses, stocks, and royalty ownership will likely be sold as boomers figure out how to retire. THIS will be a MASSIVE wealth transfer. How big? 84 TRILLION DOLLARS!!! I want YOU to be the beneficiary of this. These items will be sold to those who are actively pursuing them and know when you see a deal and can act.

I again want to reiterate that this will be a MASSIVE WEALTH TRANSFER. I want YOU in on it. NOW is the time to start educating yourself on whatever area of this wealth transfer you’d most like to get in on! Remember opportunity is when luck meets preparation! The luck will come IF you are prepared!
